Vesper's Escape

  • "Crazy wisdom is ... wisdom that flouts taboos in order to undermine their power; wisdom that evolves when one, while refusing to avert one’s gaze from the sorrows and injustices of the world, insists on joy in spite of everything; wisdom that embraces risk and eschews security; wisdom that turns the tables on neurosis by lampooning it; the wisdom of those who neither seek authority nor willingly submit to it." -Tom Robbins

Oh goody. I will relink you. I couldn't find your blog!

Devil Mood

Now that you mention the finger, it is. It's kind of a different finger that little left one. But the right is screaming right now.
I've just had a lightening thought: when's your birthday again? It must be coming up soon. I don't want to forget it.

Hi sweetie,

I keep going to the wrong vesper land! Now I think I have corrected my blogroll.

I love your self-portrait photos!

vesper, i think the body has its own vocabulary. it is wiser than we think. therefore it is not that much different than the soul. the body is the here and now. i like it here now. xx

EsotericWombat

my eyes were playing tricks with me and I thought I saw "Drink (to)(the) now."

Love the photo, but that goes without saying. Given the artist, and the subject, you are dealing with high expectations.

Happy Mother's Day, Vesper.

shaz

Just came back to wish you a Happy Mummas day xx

{illyria}

beautiful random thoughts. and the pic is stunning, as usual.

Daibh

Hope you had a good Mothers Day, Vesper! I like the picture; it's both odd and interesting.

"Lonely blooms into glee."

Forever and ever, amen. I have experienced more glee, more pants-down tongue-out belly-laughin' ass-scratchin' delight since I started cutting the people out of my life like dead limbs off a tree.

a Reverend I admire once wrote "Everything you care about will turn to dust and be forgotten, but Paradise is right in front of your eyes." Once those words found their way into my brain, I started finding that sentiment mirrored everywhere. THIS WORLD is the perfect one, this world is heaven and Valhalla and Sessrumnir (Odin's wife's afterlife-party: it's like Valhalla, except women are allowed in) and Fight Club all rolled into one.

and it's already ours. I will drink to and with the now, I will try to drink it under seven tables and probably get put under a few myself. I should probably scrawl some dirty limericks under those tables while I'm down there.

tamie

i love the "drink to the now"....yes yes and yes. and amen too.

loneliness blooming into glee. it resonates with me, dear one. thank you.
